Mike Suddeth (John M. Suddeth)
Owner/General Manager - ASE Certified
Mike has enjoyed working in the automotive industry for over 35 years. He enjoys playing golf, fishing, all sports, wood working and spending time with his wife and kids. The newest addition to his family is his granddaughter which he will be happy to tell you about. He enjoys a good steak medium well with all of the trimmings and a large ice tea.

Joe T. Suddeth
Founder
Joe has over 60 years of experience in the automotive industry. In 1971 he opened a service station (Richland Mall Exxon) in the Forest Acres area of Columbia. This became the base that launched what are now Suddeth Automotive Service and Suddeth Towing Service. Although Joe is semi retired and not involved in the day to day activities as he once was. He is still active in the management and is a strong asset to both companies. Through his and his wifes (June Suddeth) hard work and leadership a small service station has grown into two productive businesses. Joe and June are active in their church and both enjoy traveling, spending time with their children, grand children and great grand children. |

Diane Dixon
Office Manager
Dianne started at Suddeth Automotive in 1995. While she was raising her three children she started bookkeeping for her husbands family business. She currently manages the office here at Suddeths as well as keeping all of the employees in line. She has a full time job! She enjoys gardening, spending time with her family and riding her motorcycle on a nice sunny afternoon. She looks forward to spending weekends with her granddaughter and enjoys any meal she does not have to prepare.

Frank Procopio
Service Manager
Frank started at Suddeth Automotive in February of 2002. He brings with him over 45 years of experience in the automotive industry. He moved to South Carolina from Massachusetts where he was in business with his father and brother. He enjoys gardening, spending time by the pool with his wife and visiting family. He enjoys dining out at a fine restaurant.

John C. Mello, Jr.
Shop Porter / Shop Maintenance
John started at Suddeth Automotive in August of 2002. After his military service he graduated from Midlands Tech in the automotive field. He retired from the City of Columbia where he worked in several departments over the years. He is a member of the Gamecock Club at the University of South Carolina and enjoys all of USC sports. He and his family enjoy grilling out hotdogs, hamburgers and steak with all of the trimmings.

Justin Fellers– ASE
Certified
Technician
Justin started at Suddeth Automotive in November
of 2005. Justin has lived in South Carolina for
most of his life; he is a graduate of Chapin
High School and is currently a student at
Midlands Technical College. His favorite pastime
is, not surprisingly, working on cars. Justin’s
favorite meal is steak and potatoes.

Technician
John started at Suddeth Automotive in February
of 2006. He has lived in South Carolina since
2001. John is currently a student at Midlands
Technical College in the automotive department.
In his spare time he likes to go fishing and
4-wheeling. His favorite meal is any kind of
pizza. |

Betsy Suddeth
Office Assistant
Betsy started at Suddeth Automotive
in September of 2005. She has lived in Columbia
all of her life. Betsy graduated from the
University of South Carolina in May 2005 with a
Bachelor of Science in Retailing. In addition to
working at Suddeth Automotive, Betsy also
teaches dance. Her favorite hobbies are dancing,
reading, and spending time with her nieces.
Betsy’s favorite food is anything chocolate.

George Williams IV
Technician
George started at
Suddeth Automotive in August 2006. He grew up in
Greenwood, SC where he attended Ninety-Six High
School and moved to Columbia, SC to attend
college. George is a 2004 graduate of Benedict
College with a degree in business and brings
with him over six years of experience in the
automotive industry. His favorite hobby is
playing basketball and his favorite meal is crab
legs with all of the trimmings. |

Mike Waters
Service Advisor
Mike is a 1974
graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University,
served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 20 years.
Upon retiring from active duty in 1994, he
joined Wynn Oil Company as a sales
representative and territory sales manager for
South Carolina and Georgia, marketing Wynn’s
automotive products, equipment & services. Mike
joined Suddeth Automotive as a Service Advisor
in January 2007. His hobbies include golf &
water skiing. Mike is married and they have two
children, who are both currently on active duty
with the U.S. military. |
